2017 AWARD WINNERS

Services to the Club 2017 : David Short

Over the last 2 Years David has been Series Organiser of the Club Evening Spoco Time-Trial Series. David has been instrumental, along with a number of other Committee Members, in getting the Annual Dinner & Awards Evening back up and running for 2017.  David is a very deserving recipient of the Jack Wood Cup.    

 Most Meritorious Ride by a Club Member in 2017

Billy Geraghty (Joe Calvert Shield)

In 2017, Billy set himself a Personal Challenge - to cycle from Lands End to John O’Groats, a distance in excess of 930 Miles.

In August Billy completed the Marathon Cycle over 12 days,  averaging 78 miles per day and raising over £3700 in Sponsorship for Prostate Cancer.Billy is a worthy recipient of the Joe Calvert Shield for his Meritorious Ride.

Most Improved Club-Run Rider in 2017 Alison Brewster (Chris Hillyard Cup)

Alison, over the past few years with Clifton C.C., has significantly improved her cycling fitness levels and is now comfortable following the wheels in a group. She has a steely determination and greatly enjoys her Club Group Rides on Saturdays. This years recipient of the Chris Hillyard Cup: Alison Brewster
