Clifton “Road”Challenge Series Awards 2015
Trophies: Club- 100 km Reliability Ride: 01st February 2015.
Youngest Rider: Cavan Walker aged 14 years. (Bernard Wood Cup 1.)_
Tan Hill : 144 miles. : 30th August 2015.
Meritorious Ride by a Male on the Day: David Whiter (Tony Noble Trophy)
David on the following day, was heading off to France for a Pyreenean Cycling Break. But undettered by the weeks Cycling Holiday, Dave headed to the Square that Sunday morning & according to Ride Leader (Steen), wore the Polka Dot Jersey on the Climbs & the Green Points Jersey on the Flat. A Quick Ride up to Tan-Hill & Back, home for just after 04-00pm.
Dave collects the Tony Noble Trophy, for his Strong ride that August Sunday.
Most Meritorious Ride by a Club Member in 2015, Ros Littlewood. (Joe Calvert Shield).
Ros in 2015 had a Personal Road Challenge Goal, to complete a 100 mile Cycle Ride.
Last August Ros completed the Ride London “100” Charity Event, & raised over £600 in Sponsorship for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Ros picks up the Joe Calvert Shield for her Sterling Efforts, that Sunday in August.
Most Improved Club-Run Rider in 2015 :
Mark Finch (Chris Hillyard Cup).
Mark over the past 2 years with the Clifton c.c. has significantly Improved his Cycling Fitness/Stamina, mixing both Club“K” & “J” Group Rides on Saturdays.
He deserves credit for applying himself & returning back to the square, after he found his first club rides, very difficult.
In 2015 Mark completed a number of Local Sportif Rides, namely Tour de Yorkshire on a foul Sunday morning in May.
Mark was also regularly clocking 80 miles + on the Saturday club rides.
In August Mark had a brief taste of the Off-Road Scotton event, when his carbon road bike, was introduced to Whitcliff lane!!!.

2015 Road-Racing Awards
John Savage.
Best Ride in a Clifton Promoted Road Racing Event in 2015. John won the “B” Group Race 45-49 Years Vets in the Clubs L.V.R.C. Road Race Promotion in June. John receives Ron Flintham Memorial Trophy.
Eugene Cross.. Club Road-Racing Champion in 2015.
Eugene recieves Road Racing Champions Cup.
