ROUND ONE of the 2011 Open Time Trial Series is the Bishop Auckland 32 mile Spoco on Sunday 3rd April. Start time is 9am and the course is around Hamsterley - Woodland - Hamsterley (Barnard Castle area).

Closing date for entries is Tuesday 22nd March (this coming Tuesday - your entries must be in by then). Under 18's will need to send in a parental consent as well.

Saturday rides from the Square
9am: Non-stop group training ride, approx 3 hours.
10am: Club social rides with cafe stop - 2 groups leaving the square:
K ride: Knaresborough: Out via Aldwark Bridge - Dunsforth - Boroughbridge - Roecliffe - Bishop Monkton - Copgrove. Dist 65 miles (cafe at 38 miles)
Intermediate ride: Cockayne Loop (anti-clockwise) with lunch at Helmsley. Out via Strensall - Farlington - Gilling - Oswaldkirk - Nunnington - Welburn - Kirkdale - Gillamoor. Dist 86 miles.
Weather forecast: Sunny intervals, max temp a summery 10C

MTB NEWS
Club ride: Sunday 27th March will be the monthly Clifton MTB club ride - SimonW is leading this one, with Ian leading a steadier group. Meet at Sutton Bank National Park Centre car park at 10am - more details next week.
EVENTS
The Fountains Audax is taking place on Sunday 27th - you can still pre-enter this ride, see http://www.aukweb.net/events/detail/11-824/ for details. This event is part of the Road Challenge Series and is a great one for anyone who hasn't ridden an Audax before. If you are entering on the line, please print off an entry form and take it along to the start with the correct money. Remember: if you are not a member of AudaxUK, British Cycling or the CTC, you will have to pay a small levy for day membership.
The Spring Cliftonite is here - it will take a few days to stuff envelopes etc & post out, so if you want to pick it up let me know.
